Flow Chart for Map Creation
There is lots of advice out there on how to create Google Earth (and Google Map) maps, and there are various tools to help as well. I thought I'd create a little flow chart as a guide to the useful resources I've come across:

Perhaps I'm being lazy here... Do you know what I think would make this post really useful? A list of the links you included in the flowchart as text links that could be clicked.
Not much of a complaint -- seeing a process for KML generation was interesting -- just thought it might be more convenient for your readers to get to the endgame quicker...
